National Council on Health
The National Council on Health (NCH) is the highest policymaking body for health in Nigeria. It provides a vital platform for federal and state health leadership to deliberate, formulate policies, and align strategic objectives towards achieving universal health coverage and improved healthcare delivery for all citizens.
Through coordinated commitments and evidence-based results, the council drives accountability, promotes sustainable health financing, and ensures the equitable distribution of health resources across the nation.

- Review and approve national health policies and strategic plans
- Strengthen inter-governmental coordination on health matters
- Promote digital health solutions and interoperable systems
- Advance Universal Health Coverage and primary health care revitalisation
- Share best practices and evidence-based interventions
Organising Body
The conference is organised by the Federal Ministry of Health Nigeria in collaboration with State Ministries of Health, development partners, professional associations and the private sector.
